The Blathering of a Participant

I wish I had something to be passionate about ... nothing seems to matter enough. In school I channel the emotion into making sure every opinion is brought into the open. Often it leaves me playing the Devil's Advocate, but only the shallow people can't see through that. Suppose that is my passion ...

it is difficult indeed to discern one's passions with the weight of other people's hopes and fears anchoring one in the inevitability of all action. I myself have gone through painful and destructive upheavals in order to carve out a space large enough for me to start exploring my own passions. Of course, we're not identical. And perhaps i always knew what my passions were, but the anxiety of other obligations kept me from seeing them with clarity...
