The hustle and bustle
of people in the street
looking into the shadowy room
to try and catch a glimpse
of the esteemed and senseless author

who sat behind a desk
and a stack of books,
all with the same title:
Anything and Everything,
by the Deauthorized Author.

No one knows his name;
no one knows his story.
But everyone knows
of his brilliant philosophy
and everyone wishes
to have a memoir of his.

So they all line up
and buy books signed
Don N. Sunset,
Senselessly wondering what his name is.
